It was been my pleasure to worship God and study scripture with you. This page is based upon the Sunday morning sermons. It contains activities for reflection for those interested in working on these items further.

Hezekiah Bonus Disc is based on king Hezekiah according to the book of Chronicles. The scriptures offer multiple accounts of king Hezekiah (2 Kgs 18-21, Isa 36-39). Even with these the Chronicler offers another greatly expanded version of Hezekiah (2 Chron 29-32). This short sermon series will reflect on the “something more” the Chronicler includes in his version of king Hezekiah. To get an idea of when Hezekiah ruled click here.

Some things are so important they are said more than once. When one scripture quotes or alludes to another we as readers have opportunity to reflect upon it in multiple contexts, each with its own challenges. In this series we will examine teachings that appear in multiple contexts in the scriptures, reflecting on the growing significance across the subsequent contexts.

If you are interested in studying the scriptures further, I invite you to consider getting a copy of my book The Torah Story. This text is accessible and designed to guide interested readers to learn from the first five books of the Bible. The main idea is that Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy present the beginning of the gospel. The more one learns about the grace of God in the Hebrew Bible, the better chance one has to apprehend the New Testament.

Also, I invite you to take advantage of the several free resources at my website—ScriptureWorkshop.com.
